Meet Dr. Natalie Rubio
Dr. Natalie Rubio is a compassionate, detail-oriented naturopathic physician who believes excellent care begins with presence. She takes time to understand each patient’s full story, identify the factors contributing to their concerns, and create a clear, individualized plan for moving forward.
Her whole-person approach may incorporate nutrition, lifestyle medicine, botanical therapies, targeted supplementation, hormone replacement therapy, and prescription medications when clinically appropriate. Rather than relying on a single treatment modality, Dr. Rubio considers the full range of available options and works collaboratively with each patient to determine the most practical and effective approach.
Education, Training, and Clinical Experience
Dr. Rubio earned both her Bachelor of Science in Integrated Human Biology and her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University.
Her additional background includes:
- Craniosacral therapy training
- An esthetician license
- Seventeen years of training and experience in aesthetics and skin health
- Experience in environmental medicine, lifestyle optimization, and preventive care
- Founding and operating a telehealth naturopathic medical practice
Before joining Full Potential HRT Clinic, Dr. Rubio ran her own telehealth practice focused on environmental medicine and whole-person naturopathic care. She helped patients explore factors contributing to chronic health concerns, improve their daily habits, and become more informed participants in their healthcare decisions.
Her Path to Whole-Person Hormone Care
Dr. Rubio’s interest in medicine began with her own experience trying to understand persistent skin concerns and the broader factors contributing to them. That experience led her to naturopathic medicine and shaped the way she practices today: listening carefully, looking for connections among symptoms, lifestyle, metabolism, and hormones, and using both conventional and naturopathic treatment options when appropriate.
Her approach is especially valuable in hormone care, where symptoms often overlap and patients benefit from a physician who considers the complete clinical picture rather than focusing on a single laboratory result.
Areas of Clinical Focus
As a doctor, she frequently saw patients struggle with fatigue, brain fog, apathy, chronic pain, weight gain, and so many other symptoms that weren’t adequately addressed with other methods of medicine. Over time, she recognized that when she prescribed testosterone and other hormones and peptides to treat deficiencies that it would significantly improve these symptoms that otherwise wouldn’t budge.
“Helping people feel like themselves again—and seeing them flourish—is what makes this work so rewarding. When people feel well, they have more capacity to contribute positively to their families, their communities, and the world around them.”
Dr. Rubio approaches hormone replacement therapy by considering symptoms, laboratory findings, medical history, goals, and life stage—not laboratory numbers alone. As a woman experiencing many of the same hormonal and life-stage changes that affect her patients, she also brings genuine personal empathy to this work.
Her background in lifestyle optimization shapes her approach to medical weight management. When medications such as semaglutide or tirzepatide are appropriate, she continues to address nutrition, movement, sleep, metabolic health, and sustainable daily habits.
Dr. Rubio also approaches sexual health concerns with sensitivity, discretion, and respect. She understands that sexual well-being is often connected to hormones, physical health, confidence, relationships, and quality of life.
Her experience in esthetics and skin health gives her an additional perspective on concerns involving skin, hair, aging, hormones, nutrition, stress, and metabolic health. She wants patients to feel healthy, confident, and comfortable in their own skin—not artificial or unlike themselves.
Why Dr. Natalie Rubio Chose Full Potential HRT Clinic
Dr. Rubio joined Full Potential because she wanted to practice within a collaborative medical community while preserving the foundational principles of naturopathic medicine.
She was drawn to the clinic’s longer patient visits, emphasis on listening and relationship-building, integration of nutrition and lifestyle medicine, and commitment to advanced provider training.
Hormone care can vary considerably between practices. Dr. Rubio wanted to work in an environment where clinicians train together, consult with one another, follow shared standards, and remain accountable for delivering thoughtful and carefully monitored care.
At Full Potential, providers benefit from mentorship, case collaboration, ongoing education, and the collective experience of the broader medical team.
“Full Potential has created a culture of excellence, integrity, and collaboration. When physicians are supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow, that shows in the care they provide.”
She also values the genuine sense of community within the practice—and appreciates working somewhere that welcomes her French bulldog.
How Dr. Natalie Rubio Approaches Patient Care
Dr. Rubio believes presence is one of the most important parts of a medical visit. She strives to be fully engaged, attentive, and grounded so patients feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing what is truly affecting them.
She is naturally curious and highly detail-oriented. She listens for connections among a patient’s symptoms, health history, lifestyle, environment, goals, and life stage, then synthesizes that information into a plan that feels understandable and manageable.
Her approach is collaborative and practical. She explains the reasoning behind her recommendations, welcomes questions, and encourages patients to participate actively in decisions about their health.
Depending on the individual, treatment may incorporate:
- Nutrition and lifestyle changes
- Sleep, stress, movement, and recovery support
- Botanical medicine
- Nutraceuticals and targeted supplementation
- Hormone replacement therapy
- Prescription medications
- Additional evaluation or referrals when appropriate
Her goal is not to place every patient on the same protocol. It is to determine which tools are most appropriate for that particular person.
Outside the Clinic
Dr. Rubio practices many of the same daily habits she discusses with patients. She enjoys spending time in nature, preparing nourishing meals at home, purchasing food from local farmers whenever possible, and being with her family.
She is also the proud owner of a stubborn and playful French bulldog who keeps life entertaining and occasionally accompanies her to work.
These routines help keep her grounded and reinforce an important part of her philosophy: health is shaped not only by major medical decisions, but also by the small choices made consistently over time.
